What is a good CPS score?
Clicks per second depends heavily on technique. These bands describe ordinary clicking — one finger, one button — which is what a plain timed window measures.

Reading the numbers: Window length changes the number. A 5-second burst flatters you; 15 seconds exposes whether you can hold the rate. Mouse debounce also caps you — an office mouse may ignore a second click 20 ms after the first, so it physically cannot register some of your clicks.

How the CPS test works
Pick a duration, then click the pad as fast as you can. The timer starts on your first click and counts every click until it runs out. Your clicks per second is simply the total divided by the length of the window — a longer window gives a steadier, more honest number than a short burst.
Most people sit around 6–8 CPS. A light, responsive mouse and a relaxed grip help, and alternating two fingers on the same button is a common way to push higher. Everything runs in your browser and your best score is saved locally.

Why is my CPS different on 5 and 15 seconds?
Because a short window measures your peak and a long one measures what you can sustain. Almost everyone posts a higher rate over 5 seconds than over 15, since the hand tires and the rate falls off. If you want a number that represents you rather than your best burst, use the 15-second window.
How is CPS calculated?
Clicks per second is your total number of clicks divided by the length of the test window. A 10-second test with 70 clicks is 7.0 CPS. Longer windows give a more stable, honest average than a short burst.
How can I click faster?
A light, responsive mouse, a relaxed grip, and using two fingers to alternate on the same button all help. Consistency beats a single burst — the test rewards keeping a high rate for the whole window.
Does my mouse affect my CPS?
Yes. Debounce time, polling rate, and switch type all affect how quickly repeated clicks register. Gaming mice with low debounce can register faster click trains than an office mouse.
